John Wind Jewelry

John Wind Logo - Click to visit Maximal ArtJohn Wind lives in Philadelphia and was educated in England. Twenty-five years ago he started making brooches and necklaces from vintage pieces he found at European flea markets. His company, Maximal Art, produced some of the most collectible vintage-inspired pieces around!

In the early 2000's he kicked that up a notch and developed the John Wind Signature Collection featuring his very own "cotton ball pearls". Still very vintage-inspired but very, very classy!

Photo of John Wind BraceletI first met John at the Atlanta Gift Show in 2004 and he was sitting in his booth, and in his almost shy, quiet manner he explained these fabulous pom-pom pearls to me! I was hooked!!!

He is still in that booth, every day of each market, encouraging you to try on his jewelry, and eager to hear your feedback and ideas! When I was there in July 2011, he saw that I had on my cotton ball pearl bracelet which I have had for at least 3 years. I wear it a lot and the pearls were showing it!  He said, "Oh my, take that off and let us replace it.  That's not very good advertising!" So I left it with them to replace and they sent me on my way with another of their creations! Now that's customer service!

And they stand behind all of their pieces like that! He reminded me that if anything happened to one of my customers' pearls, they were to be replaced immediately at no charge! WOW is all I can say about that. I've been in a lot of booths and showrooms and NO ONE has ever said those words to me!
