The High Point Market is winding down........

and, despite some gloomy forecasts, I detected a mood of "pleasant surprise".  Buyers DID attend....Orders WERE placed.....the weather WAS great....and the High Point market IS still the best.  Now I know I am a HPFM flag-waver and proud of it...but my enthusiasm is justified.  It is the furniture capitol of the world !! Yeah us!

I heard Mitchell Gold interviewed on NPR last week about a new book he wrote.  The interviewer fished around for some glum market news and he refused to participate ! (He obviously read my previous blog..."PeeWee poopoos paparazzi" and agreed with it.) Anyway, he identified Las Vegas as a low-end regional market and I, for one, was very glad to hear it said.

So, let's all go out there and create some positive buzz.....The industry is thriving, the High Point market is thriving, and we are proud of both ! Oh, and God Bless America !  (Was that too much??)
