I thought I was ahead of the season...

As soon as last weekend's torrential rains stopped, I raced outside to see the sun and  put out my spring decorations!  I was all ready to replace my "winter greenery" (think left-over Christmas) with cute bunnies and forsythia and cherry blossom stems!  TOO LATE ! A lovely bird couple had already build their nest right in the middle of that old stale winter greenery and pine cones.  I supplied them with some fresh dryer lint and some used Spanish moss, but they were all finished and moved in.  So...I guess I have the ultimate spring decoration now.......hopefully with eggs on the way!

The eggs have hatched and five baby birdies seem to be alive and well!  Mom and Dad Finch are very attentive and we are trying not to disturb them.  A sure sign of spring, even though it is 36 degrees !
