More about the Peach........

I guess I'm thinking about Mom more this week than usual....her extraordinary spirit!  The best gift she gave her family was her contentment.  That gift manifested itself in so many areas.....

- it gave her peace because she was always confident that God was in charge

- it gave her family peace because she was never searching for what other's had, what was "fair", or what someone else could do for her

- no "why me..." even through breast cancer and pancreatic cancer

- she never made us feel like her happiness depended on us

**Note to self*** Not demanding time and attention makes others WANT to give you time and attention.  She WANTED me to put my husband and children before her.   And that made me want to spend more and more time with her and look forward to visits knowing I wouldn't feel guilty when I had to leave !

Anyway, as I thought about her gift of contentment yesterday, I listened to Andy Stanley's message about "discontentment" in the LOST series.   So much came together in my head....I think I'll listen to it again !
